En Feria de arte venden plátano pegado con cinta en 2 millones de pesos
En la feria de Art Basel Miami Beach se puso a la venta una obra de arte que ha llamado mucho la atención. Se trata de un plátano pegado con cinta de aislar a un pared, la cual ya fue adquirida por alguien en 2 millones de pesos.
Se trata de una creación del artista Maurizio Cattelan, y esta pieza marca el primer debut importante del artista en una feria de arte en más de 15 años.
La obra que fue bautizada como “Comediante” fue presentada el miércoles por la galería de arte contemporáneo Perrotin,

La cuenta de Instagram de la galería revela que esta singular obra de arte vino a la mente del artista hace un año. En aquel entonces, Cattelan estaba pensando en una escultura con forma de plátano.

Cada vez que viajaba, traía un plátano con él y lo colgaba en su habitación de hotel para encontrar inspiración. Hizo varios modelos: primero en resina, luego en bronce y en bronce pintado para finalmente volver a la idea inicial de un verdadero plátano.

? Maurizio Cattelan's new sculpture 'Comedian' at Art Basel Miami marks the artist's first major debut at an art fair in over 15 years! Comprised of a real banana affixed to the wall with a piece of duct tape, this new work is no different than Cattelan's hyper-realistic sculptures lampooning popular culture and offer a wry commentary on society, power, and authority. In the same vein as Cattelan's America (2016), this piece offers insight into how we assign worth and what kind of objects we value. The idea of this work came to the artist’s mind a year ago. Back then, Cattelan was thinking of a sculpture that was shaped like a banana. Every time he traveled, he brought a banana with him and hung it in his hotel room to find inspiration.
